There was a time when you knew the name of the guy fixing your gutters. You’d see your handyman at the grocery store, invite your milkman to the Fourth of July cookout. His name was on the door of his truck because he had nowhere to hide. He was invested in the community, and the community was invested in him. That accountability didn’t need a policy. It was just how things worked.
Somewhere along the way that changed. You don’t know who’s showing up, what they’ll charge, or if they’ll even answer the phone when something goes wrong.
Gleam is my attempt to bring that back. Same values and same level of service.
